TechRaptor

Current Role: Features Editor

Skills: News writing, feature writing, proofreading, editorial decision-making, project management, content strategy.

I started with TechRaptor in October 2017 as a staff writer. After covering E3 2019, the CEO promoted me to features editor. Now, I work with writers who are on staff to help them create their best content. I hear out their pitches, provide actionable feedback, and set expectations for their work. I also edit their work and prepare it for publishing, though I always make a point to explain my edits whenever I can, instead of forcibly making changes. In 2021, we also opened the door for freelancers to pitch their content to us without having to join the staff.

Alongside my duties as the features editor, I help out our small team wherever I’m needed. This includes covering live events like PAX West 2019 and E3 2021, as well as editing and publishing other works outside my purview, as needed.
